You know, that's really not that bad. We don't have control over hurricanes and earthquakes, despite what the Pat Robertsons would have us believe, so our prayers and "sinful" behaviors really have no consequence on natural disasters. That he thinks it's a deliberate reminder is pretty nuts but other than that it sounds almost like a pantheistic humbling at the unpredictable power of nature.
