Well, we're not going to risk our industry and wealth generation for the sake of those people dumb enough to live in areas most likely to be affected by things like rising sea water, nor should we. If we wish to remain the worlds lone superpower then we will acknowledge the scientific consensus only after it has developed solutions to all our problems, and at a savings to us. We are competing with China for Christ's sake!
Further, I say thank goodness our handlers are as gracious as they are, lord knows we couldn't bear the responsibility of being constantly afraid. What with all that money too -no thanks.
Seriously though, if things go sour, don't expect people like me to place the blame on our neighbors. It ain't going to happen.
