As someone who has made the occasional living lawyering, I resent that!
Seriously, the training is very similar: respect for evidence and facts, and building an argument which will stand up based on that evidence. There's not much room in the law for making stuff up: it is unlikely to survive cross-examination in a courtroom.
See my post above: actually we need to see more of these charlatan "scientists" in court, and let the lawyers show them up for what they are. We're quite useful for some things!
