Highly recommended and very entertaining read: Heavenly Discourse by Charles Erskine Scott Wood published 1927. There is a chapter titled Denver Prays for Rain Page 190. Book is available on Amazon but very expensive or read it free online on http://openlibrary.org. Its excellent and who would have believed that decades later the USA would still have gullible ignorant people believing in this folly.
When reason fails mockery is an excellent tool to drive the message home!
