← African fossils put new spin on human origins story

It was big news here in South Africa when they stumbled on the fossil. Just a stone-throw from my doorstep, founded by the son of one of the researchers. Just a pitty most people around here refuse, a) to accept the significance of the discovery, or b) that evolution is the only game in town. Religion, and Christianity in particular, still have a tight stranglehold on the probable birthplace of modern humans.
