Most people on this site criticize islam for the genuine harm it does. But there are a heck of a lot of people who criticize islam because most muslims have darker skin than the average Daily Mail reader. I think that makes it difficult for muslims with any empathy to criticize each other in public - they feel they're handing ammo to the BNP. (I doubt that psychopathic muslims feel much solidarity with moderate muslims or anybody else.) What these 12,000 people did was difficult, and I don't think we should spit in their eye.
