I contacted the Canadian Cancer Society, to see if they would be willing to accept a donation from these teams. Not at all sure that idea would be acceptable to team members in the U.S., but it would make a point that would get some press, maybe even more than now. And besides, cancer research in Canada is very strong, due in part to the Terry Fox runs and all the money that has generated. $500 million, according to Wiki.
