Hi, everyone, I'm the Dorothy Sutton mentioned in the article. One of my greatest honors to get to introduce him here at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. Yes, I've been friends with Richard for 12 years, and all because he wanted to read my Darwin poem in his induction into the Royal Society of Science. (Keep reading and writing poetry, folks -- good things come of it!) I told Richard that Eastern Kentucky needs a shot of rational thinking. We were so joyful to get 2,300 people (the most we've ever had for a lecture) I'm sorry we had to turn people away, but hey folks, we're a school in Appalachia - we don't have those huge facilities some people have (wish we did!) and we did the best we could by adding three large classrooms to our largest venue. Wish we could have beamed to the parking lot, but we couldn't because of possibility of rain. I think our students will never be the same, and that's what really matters, isn't it? Much love to everybody--we're sitting on cloud nine!
