In the media, epecially the tabloid rags, there is so much nonsense presented as if it were fact that I sometimes weep. Most of it lacks any scientific credibility. It's dumbed down to appeal to people's emotions and gut instincts, maybe this is what people really want: they don't care about the technical science, they want a story, something to talk about on lunckbreak, something simple and black and white, something to go "ohh did you hear there may be a miracle cure for x?" People simply don't have the time or interest to do the patient research into the truth of these claims.
