These public words, while repugnant, are also a potential gift to secularism. If you ever wanted to write a citizen's opinion to your local newspaper, this screed of Newt's could be a powerful backdrop for one. I am going to try to submit one while the topic is fresh.
I strongly encourage others to consider writing as well. And if you aren't American, that's ok, newspapers love foreign (potential tourist) observations. Pick a small town paper somewhere and write in.
