If that's true, then it's only an indication of the presence of religious extremists. I've met very many Muslim colleagues who wouldn't even think of knocking down Darwin on religious grounds. Interestingly, I clearly remember the world in which it was unusual for any religious adherent to reject Darwin (or any other scientific concept) with a possible exception of some backwards areas of the USA. Since the advent of the Internet (which was and still is American-dominated) the rejection of science is on the rise and rise.
