Lobbying is a huge problem in the world in general. Sometimes it's a good thing, but in the vast majority of the cases it's just about corporations creating and shaping law by paying the politicians and civil servants.
The lobby market is huge and as a company you have to participate in it or be crushed by competition. It's a very cynical game. I know what I'm talking about. Trust me. :-)
Most people I think don't understand that the majority of laws are made in the lobbying circuit.
