The possibility of some sort of sustainable planet-like ship shouldn't be overlooked, some visionaries are already looking at it as a reprieve from overcrowding on Earth. Whether interstellar travel is possible or not, surely humanity must strive to achieve it? Extinction will be our ultimate fate eventually, however I fear our decline will begin when we lose our urge to explore even the most extreme and remote locations. However, we've got smaller fish to fry right now, the Jovian moons!
