Isn't Allah suppose to protect his own????
If Allah is allowing this man to be beaten to death, 500 lashes is a lot, then shouldn't his family accept it as the will of Allah? After all aren't they (the family) good Muslims?
Remember the ancient saying "trust in Allah, but tie up your camel".
In this case, while traveling in a country ruled by religious nuts keep your mouth shut and trust that Allah won't be offended at any thing you say. lol
No one should accept as valid, any government that bases itself on the interpretation of ancient "holy" books.
