This is the absurdity. The normal conventions of dealing with a crazy viewpoint are turned on their head, and one is expected to 'respect' content for which there'd be a riot if some political party marched down the street advocating it on banners and placards. We seriously need to get past this mentality and treat religious views in the exact same manner as we'd treat the same view expressed by any political party.
