"Freedom Of Speech"?! Oh please, it's a fucking license plate, not a newspaper... Do these idiots get irate about the lack of choice as to the design of their passport too? Well, come to think of it, most of these people probably don't have a passport anyway, do they!
I don't consider it a violation of anyone's rights - and that includes atheists - to have to obtain a single, universal format for any given piece of state administrative tat. If you really need to alert other road users to the fact you're an arsehole, a sticker does the job just as well, if not better.
