I would think you would not need an entire sequence for diagnostic medicine, just a reading of the genes we know what they do and they are medically significant. I would presume this set would increase over time. I wondered if these new techniques are for sequencing the whole genome or they can be also use just to sample the important parts of it. If so, how fast could such a machine sample that subset?
