Sean Faircloth:
Attack of the Theocrats!
I've lived in Pennsylvania all of my life (indeed, it is a beautiful state with a balance of major cities, suburbs, and 100s-of-thousands of square miles of forests and wide-open spaces). We have a long history of freedom from religious persecution (thank you, William Penn), which has fostered religious and a-religious diversity, within the state.
Rest assured that this legislation will be challenged in court because it is a clear violation Pennsylvania's State Constitution under "Religious Freedom," (Section 3), stating the following:
"All men [and women] have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences; no man [or woman] can of right be compelled to attend, erect or support any place of worship or to maintain any ministry against his [or her] consent; no human authority can, in any case whatever, control or interfere with the rights of conscience, and no preference shall ever be given by law to any religious establishments or modes of worship."
It will be challenged and struck down.
