Nice, funny piece.
An interesting angle to the theist insistance that atheism is a religion is that it appears to be derogatory. In other words, they seem to be saying that we are just as deluded as they are. I think it could be construed as some sort of backhanded, unintended compliment; or maybe it's just insecurity at work.
It's like they are screaming on the playground: "Your mama is just as fat as mine!"
Interesting. Anyone else got an idea about why this is so important to the religious to paint us as "just another religion?"
