I find myself in a strange situation here, as almost always I find myself utterly opposed to Professor Dawkins' crusading atheism however on this matter he is making some fair points.

If self-identified Christians do not adhere to some pretty basic aspects of Christianity, such as: * belief in God * belief that Jesus is the Son of God * belief in the Holy Spirit * belief in the two great commandments * regularly attending church is very fair to question whether their self-identification is even remotely meaningful.

I was hoping for a decent discussion on this on the Today programme just now, but sadly Frazer is just another wishy-washy do-your-own-thang liberal quasi-Christian. :o(
