"Organised atheism has produced North Korea. There is really not much more that needs to be said."
And organised religion has produced Saudi Arabia.
However, there is an important qualitative difference which this author must not be allowed to get away with. North Korea represents the perversion of various Marxist and Maoist ideas, with it's ruling Kim family enjoying a quasi-religious/royal status, but the point is that the outrages that are carried out there are not done in the name of non-belief in a deity.
Saudi Arabia, on the over hand, justifies every act of barbarism, each act of cruel inhumanity, entirely in the name of pleasing their God.
