What he is doing is trying to make mud stick. Religions have so much of this it is hard to quantify. It's as well he hasn't a group agenda to corral you into losing income potentials and then isolating you into auctioning it off at a loss just to pay your debts. I know this only too well.
Remember, the religious think they are entitled to ALL real estate since it belongs to their god of the gaps. None god thinkers, they think, deserve the rights to lose, lose!
This sounds like a direct volley of threats to me.
