Attack of the Theocrats!
I was there. The topic of the debate, I thought, wasn't answered, or, for that matter, much debated. Instead Prof Dawkins made many a cogent point, which the Archbishop mostly agreed with, regarding the evolutionary origins of a number of human traits, with Dr Williams seemingly latching onto the idea that consciousness and its origins are not well understood.
Sir Anthony Kenny, was occasionally unnecessarily grand, making odd comments regarding electric razors, and some elements of philosophy that I felt embarrassed to hear him mention.
p.s. debates like this need the speakers to be amplified. I struggled to hear at times.
