This just shows how much religion can twist your worldview. What's so indecent and demeaning about being a species of ape - although granted, a really cool kind of ape? And it's almost as though Kohlmayer feels like Prof. Dawkins said he was an actual gorilla.
Although, I'll grant you, when I was a kid I used to resent that we were related to "ugly old" gorillas and chimps. I'd have much rather been related to beautiful horses or tigers or something. :P
