It's all semantics, yet again.
Much of what is spouted is nonsense....but I think there is a basic thesis that is true. Science won't eradicate religion, because ultimately science will take over the very definition of what religion actually is. The need to worship something 'larger than oneself' will ultimately be encompased by science itself. Underneath all the waffle, I think that is what the article is ultimately saying.
It's a sentiment I agree with. Science should not be 'eradicating' religion.......it should be re-directing all those religious felings, sentiments, awe and wonder etc towards scientific truths.
