i don't know whether religious belief is inevitable or not. i guess it must not be because i don't have any, and plenty of other people don't either. as for the majority that do have religious beliefs, well, i don't know what that means in scientific terms, but as far as i'm concerned they can have it ... my only beef with religious belief is not so much that is there, but that it can sometimes encroach on my life in important ways ... and were i to find myself in a muslim country, this would be even more the case
