Off topic to Amos and Jeffrey: Just a heads up - Bart Ehrman's book Did Jesus Exist? is now out. He has published a taster on HuffPo. His opening salvo concludes with this assertion: "Whether we like it or not, Jesus certainly existed."

Isn't that the most perfect build-up to a great debate? This is such an interesting and important subject that it really should have its own thread here.
