Maddow is a constant critic of organised religion, esp in matters of politics (The Family, C-Street organisation, Bachman, Palin), women's health (recent GOP amendments on birth control), and of course, gay rights (Uganda's anti-homosexuality bills, gay marriage).
I don't know if she's religious (she was brought up RC) but watching her show regularly, I would disagree with the "faitheist/accommodationist" label.
