That's a heart-breaking story. It's tragically wrong and orchestrated by the sickness and unjustified certainty religion instills in people.
I read it on the tail end of some other articles and stories about religious atrocities.
I'm a very angry atheist right now. I'm sick to death of religion. All of it. The blind faith, the "reasoned arguments" that invariably fail, the moral smugness and the power.
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been deprived of your grandchildren and that they have been deprived of you.
It's a terrible injustice. What makes it worse, is that it's just a drop in the bucket.
The list of what religion poisons seems to extend on forever. Its ignorance influences everything.
