Did what now? I don't think that word means what you think it means.

The word seems fine to me. Remember, this was a Pacific Northwest audience.

Maybe this is some strange Pacific Northwest use of the word, like using momentarily to mean "in a moment".

He's not doing it for comic effect you know, that's how he really speaks!
