A protest against who? Which racists? It was a supposedly safe Labour seat, are they racists? Galloway took a significant chunk of the "Muslim" vote from Labour.

Sorry I was unclear. I meant that Bradford has been a centre for EDL protest, most notably in summer 2010 where the EDL bussed people to Bradford and the demonstration was infiltrated by the BNP. The BNP didn't stand, but I think the protest vote against Labour, the 'Bradford Spring', has a lot to with Labour not being perceived to have done enough to prevent such violent scenes, or to improve conditions for the poorest people in Bradford. It's only a by-election protest victory.

I give up.
