Since I was never involved in a religion in the first place, material like this gives me insights into what it's like to deconvert from one. And a fascinating insight it is, too. There really is a strong emotional basis behind their beliefs. I got it on an intellectual level, but this really hammers home the point. It does seem to take time and several small steps to gradually change position, so it's nice to hear there's a support group to ease the process.
