The meeting of atheists where she made her "coming out" speech sounds almost like a revivalist meeting. Now I understand why the rigidly deluded claim that atheism is "just another religion". They are wrong, but there seems to be (from a stiff upper lip British perspective) an evangelical element to the Atheist "community" in the US. Is it that the atheist congregation is providing an alternative haven for the now missing "comfort of the church congregation"?
