Incidentally, this discussion shows a dreadful bigotry against non-believers, that is quite unjustified by the facts. If similar statements were made about ethnic minorities or women, there would be a justifiable outcry, but of course, even in liberal circles, atheists are considered fair game for such casual disadvantaging.
