The daughter of televangelist Rev. Billy Graham says that it’s important to discriminate against candidates who are atheists because politicians “should have a fear for almighty God.”

Perhaps this gormless statement would be more justifiable if there was the slightest evidence that having a, "fear for almighty God", produced more able, moral and humane politicians.

Sadly, all the evidence appears to point to the contrary conclusion.

Just look at America, where some of the statements coming from their more conservatives members (members being the operative word) suggest a collective IQ of a pond full of fornicating frogs.
