Carrier also points out the failings in Ehrman's Huffpo article.

The Huffpo article is a month old by now. Carrier has since then read the book and has published a long critique on http://freethoughtblogs.com/carrier/archives/1026 called "Ehrman on Jesus: A Failure of Facts and Logic", which seems to say that Ehrman doesn't live up to his reputation. The blogs have exploded since then, See also WEIT and Choice in Dying on this hot topic.

I had hoped this issue was being posted on RD.net because I would cherish input from Amos and Jeffrey. I have a two books by Ehrman and considered him as very knowledgable on this subject, but from now on I'll hesitate to listen to him. When criticism is this unanimous I can't brush it aside. His response to Carrier's critique was very weak as well, if not to say pathetique.
