I will take your word for it. Provisionally, of course. " Before animals " would denote heterotrophs, but some protista are autotrophs. Rhodophyta and Chlorophyta come to mind and multicellularity also comes to mind here which suggests protist as the better term to me. I* will also accept the spelling unconditionally, but the rest of your post is esoteric and not enough my area of interest to comment on.
