Yes, there are going to be philosophers who are going to hang on to a Platonic ideal of "nothing" but ask them to show you some or prove that there ever has been any, and what you will get from them as evidence is, nothing.

I'll show you metaphysical nothing just as soon as you show me the multiverse.

Hey, don't ask me for that, I am waiting for it myself! Brian Green has a new TED talk about it, and if I get a chance I am going to write about the philosophy of speculative physics v. theoretical physics re string theory [coughspeculationcough] and the multiverse idea.
