I'm not american, but one thing has always puzzled me about american "jews".
Why do they insist on calling themselves "jewish" when they are american citizens. I know this is a sensitive subject for many atheistic "jews", but I think it raises some important questions.
Basically I just don't get it. What's so great about being jewish, when it is also used to describe religious dogma.
Any bids anyone?
PS. I don't care about race or ethnical origins.
