Unbelievable, and I'm sure it's frustrating for the governing bodies who must feel like they can't do much that wouldn't also just hurt the kids. I guess they could force them to agree that in order to even attempt a run at the championship they must play whatever team gets there with them, else they can still play and keep a record for themselves but it will mean nothing in the league. Then let the parents who care about such things vote with their feet.
