I agree on your views, An A of C who thinks sharia is a good idea is about as welcome as a cathlick priest on a sunday school trip, even if having Williams slinking off into the sunset leaves room for a more fundamentalist bigoty flavour for the tea and cake brigade.
I also take the point that theologist ninnies who ponder question marks and hermeneutic navels are as nuts as those that take things literally. The tea and cake wallahs however pose less danger imminently, though in my mind there is nothing that flatters the difference between riding al Buraq from Mecca to Jeruslem or wondering about the nature of a god before the existence of time.
If plans to reduce the H of L go ahead but leave all the Lords spiritual in place the ninnienuts will have a much greater influence on decision making.
