I have never seen "men only" on a conference or meeting sign-up. If women want more women at conferences, then they've got to start showing up! The leader of my local atheist/humanist group is a passionate, enthusiastic young woman with a flair and drive for organizing. I'm quite sure she doesn't wait for an engraved invitation to attend a conference, she just goes and makes her presence felt.
I would love to see more women involved, but I can't show up for you. Only you can do that. Please, come out, speak out, and be the change you want to see.
