The reality is so much more awe inspiring than any of the crude old myths. Much of what we take for granted today would have seemed like supernatural magic to our forebears of even a few hundred years ago. Now if we can just make it to a level 3 civilisation....there will be 'gods' in the universe.....us. And we'll have in our scriptures a fine example in how not to treat nascent and primitive civilisations we meet along the way.
