Instead of migrating to other planets, why don't we get our act together here on Earth?

As a species we've only been around for two or three nail filings of time, and although so far we have indeed made a bit of a dog's dinner of it, surely we could do better, try harder, instead of scurrying away leaving the place like a teenager's bedroom.

A good start would be to ditch superstition; we know we're susceptible to fanatasising, and we know why, so why don't we just grow up and make the most of this wonderful world of ours?
