Tennessee Senate Bill 893 (SB 893) Aim: "Teachers shall be permitted to help students understand, analyze, critique, and review in an objective manner the scientific strengths and scientific weaknesses of existing scientific theories"...including evolution, global warming, the chemical origin of life, and human cloning. Status: Passed, signed into law.

House Bill 368 (HB 368) Aim: Identical to SB 893 Status: Passed, signed into law

I am sure many have seen myself and others do this in earlier discussions, along with helping people to understand, analyze, critique, and review in an objective manner the scientific absence of strengths, and scientific weaknesses of pseudo-scientific non-theories"

The problem seems to be that scientifically incompetent teachers are to be permitted to spread their ignorance dressed up as scientific knowledge!

It is good to see that many of the more specifically detailed attempts at pro-creationist/ID legislation failed, but clearly of concern that such nonsense progressed as far as it did in the legislature. - It's one of the hazards of electing monkeys!
