Call me cynical but this sounds like fundamentalist parental coaching. It wouldn't be the first time kids were used as religious pawns. I don't know. I guess I just can't relate. In some sense, I can understand that it's courageous for a child to speak up in this manner. These teachers have tough jobs. It shouldn't be their job to have to educate parents too.
