They do not want to them...simples!

The trouble is that they do want to learn. They just have a natural tendency to trust the information given to them by the people who raise them. So, it's not so simple. There's a lot of emotional difficulty involved here for these children.

The rest of the classes also need to learn, so pandering to tantrums really should not be dictating the approach. If some individual counselling of confused children is needed, this should be done separately.
