I certainly find it encouraging especially when I hear kids openly taking about how and why they don't believe in god on the bus going through a predominately Baptist community and the Baptist kids just don't know what to say or think. Though they have passed out little valentine's day cards with a hershey kiss and a quote from Jesus attached to the card.
