We've basically miniaturized the devices themselves as far as we can, as going any smaller would interfere with human-device interaction. That, and no one wants to hear about how half the power grid for the East Coast was taken out because a tech sneezed.

The guts of the devices, however, and thus the processing power per square inch of mainboard, can go ever higher with advances like this. It's not out there to expect to see Watson-like AI shrink down from server-room sized to iPhone-sized. They could even network for big tasks.

We don't know exactly what the next big revolution will look like, but we can be sure it will be wierd.
