Catholics have no trouble with evolution, and I have never met a Catholic creationist although I know there are some in the US.

Hmmm? Catholics accept evolution as being guided by God, His method of creating humanity as the cream of creation. Anyone who knows anything about evolution knows that homo sapiens happen to be the dominant mammal on Earth because of many different evolutionary twists and turns over some 4 billion years. There was never any inevitability about it. We are lucky!

As for creationism, whether it happened 13.7 billion years ago, or some 6000 years ago, the basic idea is the same, - God done it! A completely fallacious and erroneous idea! All Christians are creationists.
